Q: Is it disrespectful to dance and sing in the place of worship?
A: No, it is not. It is most encouraged to do so.
Q: Aren't we suppose to shut up and concentrate when we're worshipping.
A: God gave us a body which moves; a mouth which speaks. Why let the talent go to waste?
Q: But my elders told me to shut up!
A: Apparently they never heard of this...
There was this young little girl and her grandmother. It was Sunday Service.
The little girl was dancing and singing with joy, all praises and glory to God. But not before long, the grandmother reprimanded her, "This is the day of the Lord's sabbath, you should be silent and worship." Sabbath is the 7th day of the week, where God intended it as a rest day; for He was done with his creation on the 6th day.
Not much the girl can do, she was starting to feel uncomfortable, for she cannot do the one thing she liked on Sunday. She decided to take a stroll outside of the church, to catch a refreshing new breeze.
Just outside, the little girl came across a tree with a pair of birds chirping happily. Observing... then she said, "Shhh!!! Keep quiet. This is the day of the Lord's sabbath." The birds were unaware. Unable to do anything, the little girl proceeded along the path until she reached a little stream. The flow of water trickling through the rocks is liken to a beautiful dancer and a melodious tune. The little girl observed and goes, "You look so happy, but can you please keep queit. Grandma said we shouldn't make noise on the day of the Lord's sabbath."
Soon, the girl came to a field, and there was a mule grazing the lustre greens. The little girl approched and said, "You are quiet different from those two I met earlier." Aware of the little girls presence, the mule looked up and observed as well.
"Well Mr. Mule, you knew that today is a day of the Lord's sabbath."
"You have the same religion as Grandma!"
